PNOE – Friends of Children in Intensive Care is a non-profit organization.

It was founded in 1991 by a dedicated group of parents, paediatricians and volunteers. It is supported entirely by contributions from individuals, companies and donations in memoriam. Its aims are to establish Paediatric Intensive Care Units in State and University hospitals and donate medical equipment to Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units throughout Greece. It supports children and their families while the child is in Intensive Care. It provides continuing educational opportunities for Intensive Care medical and nursing staff. Since 1996 it has provided basic training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid to the general public.

As a non-profit organization, PNOE solely depends on contributions.

We support 21 Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units in 11 State and University hospitals throughout Greece.

Approximately 4,000 children and neonates require treatment in Intensive Care Units in Greece every year.
