OUR HISTORY

PNOE – Friends of Children in Intensive Care is a non-profit organization. It was founded in 1991 by parents who had either lost a child or whose child was saved and by the director of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital, Athens.It is supported entirely by contributions from individuals, companies and donations in memoriam.

Since 1994, thanks to a generous donation, PNOE was able to acquire offices at 159 Michalakopoulou Street, Athens close to the two Children’s Hospitals. It is governed by a 7 member Board of Directors.

At the General Assembly of 29 April 2015, the following were voted as members of the Board:

President: John Papadatos. Director of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital, Athens.
Vice-President: Nicholas Τsolomitis. General Manager OKEANOS NAFTILIAKI.
General Secretary: John Nikolaidis. Lawyer – Senior Partner, “ATHENS LAW GROUP JOHN & MARIA NIKOLAIDIS & ASSOCIATES”.
Treasurer: Eleni Droulia. Historian – Library of the Hellenic Parliament.
Secretary: Eleni Tapta. Painter – Artist.
Member: Eleni Varangi. VARANGIS FINE FURNITURE.
Member: Maria Nikolaidis. Lawyer – Senior Partner, “ATHENS LAW GROUP JOHN & MARIA NIKOLAIDIS & ASSOCIATES”.
